where are the words?

The graphics were definately the best out of the first 6 movies submitted. This used a lot of techniqus that hadn't been explored in submitted material yet. But where were the words? The guys mouth was moving the whole time, and it was supposed to be a parody, but there were no lyrics. I guess that since it's a "sing-it-yourself-you-lazy-bastard" song, I have to mysteriously know the lyrics already.

a much needed message

This remind's me of that episode of MTVs Real Life "I'm a drag racer" It was rediculous how much money these guys put into cars that sucked. The "ONDA" on the back of the car made me laugh. This guy spends all this money on his car and doesn't bother to replace the H, or just take off the rest. Not much of a movie, but great considering when it was uploaded.

not as good as the first

I honestly didn't like this one as much as I liked the first. It was still good, and the jokes were pretty cool. I'm pretty sure I missed that broadcast of Reading Rainbow though. Too bad. I just love to hear little boys talk about penisses.

Ok graphics, great sound, funny concept.

pretty damn good

Hilariously written, but if it were submitted today would get a horrible score because of the graphics. Of course it's a whole lot better than stick-men and the crap we see these days. I suppose this is why that show lost it's TV spot. haha. Great flash for a good laugh.

a lot of booze for such a small dog

This one is much better than the first two. It has more of a storyline/concept, which makes the violence less meaningless (not that that's entirely bad). The pimp is hilarious ("Where's the money, Dog?" haha). The addition of the austin powers music doesn't match this completely, but isn't exactly something that ruins the toon. Brian, you were way ahead of your time with this stuff.

did you go back and add clubbed to death?

Like wizardman said, this is a great flash considering the date of origin. It's definately better than the first. And you're absolutely right, Death does not need to make sense. The graphics would be pretty good by todays standards, but not fabulous.

Did you come back and change the music, or did the matrix come out before i thought it did?

classic NG

This, the oldest submission on Newgrounds, really set the tone for what was to come. I remember watching the Scrotum toons the day I discovered NG. They (along with one or two other classics) convinvced me to sign up that very day.

This is a really simple concept, with simple, yet subtly advanced graphics, enhanced by a catchy tune. Can't really critique it much since there's been so much submitted since.

pretty awesome...

for a first movie. It was definately worth more than most of the "skate" movies you see on NG. Nice background, and the animation was pretty smooth. I think I'll go check out your other work.

Scribbler responds:

Thank you for the nice review and many people have congratulated me on the background. I guess that it was actually worth it because what I noticed from most of the other stick skate movies was that most of them didn't actually have a background. Now I wanted to do something different and better so, I included a background that was actually worth seeing. Once again, this was done when I was still learning flash and believe it or not, it was done in 12 FPS!

wow...

I'm often amazed by how such simple things like this can be so... intriguing and cool, and totally awesome. I really loved the style this was in, the "twitchy" animation was perfect for it, and the subtle sounds added a nice touch. I love your other stuff, but this was a nice little break.

great new stuff

it's awesome to see new styles on NG. So much of the stuff we see here is unoriginal crap. This is really a good fresh of breath air. Cowboy Bebop music gives it a very nice touch (and maybe makes me a little biased, which may be why i vote 5 on this whenever I remember to ;-) ). If you use this style again in the future, you may want to make sure that your figure remains defined and consistant throughout the whole thing.

Was that completely frame by frame?

Totty responds:

*tear* wow...high compliments from you...thank you! Reviews like yours make posting stuff on here worth it!

Yes, consistency was an issue with this film, my father pointed that out as well, I'll have to work on it :)!
Yes it was completely frame by frame...i don't work any other way :D.
